Redstone College, in Denver Colorado, offers several hands-on, aviation-specific training programs, and has been training skilled aircraft mechanics since 1965. Redstone’s Denver campus is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), and all faculty and staff are industry professionals.

In April 2016, Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology purchased Redstone College, Broomfield location.

Denver is an excellent place to receive training for your aviation career, as there are numerous aviation industry businesses in the area, providing Redstone College students with a wide range of possible employment opportunities. The campus itself is situated with amazing views of the Rocky Mountains, plenty of access to outdoor recreation, entertainment, shopping, major professional sporting venues, and part-time employment while in school.

Advanced Electronics Technology (Avionics) Program

The avionics program helps you prepare to take the FCC certification exam in under 18 months. The program instructors have actual industry expertise and connections, helping prepare you to enter the industry.

Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Program

The airframe and powerplant program is fully certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). That means you will be prepared to take the FAA certification exam in as little as 18 months. To develop this program, Redstone met with representatives from the major airlines, aircraft manufacturers, and aircraft & powerplant maintenance companies, ensuring the most practical, up-to-date topics and technologies are being taught.

All courses are led by instructors with industry expertise, providing real-world insight and helping you to build invaluable industry connections. You will take courses in simulated work environments, studying topics such as:

  • Aviation science
  • Aircraft electricity
